Surely, for each person who is interested in fashion (or any other discipline), there is an influence that stands out above the rest. In my case, it is Elein Fleiss. Nothing and nobody has had a bigger influence in the way I understand the world of print publishing. I was lucky enough to meet her and interview her in depth, and I was moved by the fact that we agreed on the fact that probably the best thing she ever edited was issue zero of Purple Journal, her own manifesto through which she decided to split ways with Olivier Zahm and claim her own vision. This publication is a true gem, and it captures in an absolutely superb way everything Fleiss has brought to the world of editing in general and fashion in particular.
